This conference is devoted to the practical implementation of VTE prophylaxis in a wide range of patient groups. The speakers all have a detailed knowledge of the evidence and how it is amalgamated to create evidence based guidance. Perhaps more important for a clinical audience, the speakers are predominantly hands on clinicians, from a range of disciplines, each presenting its own problems in implementation.

Audience: The conference is intended for anyone involved in VTE prophylaxis including generating local practice protocols, their effective implementation, applying them to special situations, and auditing practice.
