Currently, I am a consultant vascular surgeon at the Royal Free London. My subspecialty interests include complex venous and lymphatic disorders, vascular anomaly and paediatric vascular surgery. I am also an honorary consultant at the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children. I graduated from the Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2002. I underwent my basic surgical training in London, Essex and Scotland. Subsequently, I studied and was awarded a PhD on venous biology at the Kennedy's Institute of Rheumatology and Academic Section of Vascular Surgery (Charing Cross Hospital) in Imperial College London, under the guidance of Professor Alun Davies. During this time, I also gained research experience in the Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA, USA. Then I went through my specialty training in General Surgery (with Vascular Surgery as subspecialty interest) in the North West Thames rotation (London Deanery). During this time, I received my vascular training and experience in several vascular units in London and Hertfordshire including Stevenage, Watford, Northwick Park, Imperial College (St Mary's and Charing Cross) and the Royal Free London. In the final six months of my specialty training, I acted up as a consultant and gained subspecialty experience in managing vascular anomalies and overgrowth disorders at the Royal Free London. I obtained my Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Surgery in October 2016. I have also been awarded several prizes and travelling fellowships including the BSET Travelling Fellowship which I spent time to observe deep venous interventions in the RANE Center for Venous and Lymphatic Diseases in Jackson, Mississippi, USA (Dr Seshadri Raju). Subsequently, I gained further training and experience in managing complex venous diseases including learning deep venous interventions and surgery through a year of Senior Venous Fellowship at the Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals in London under the supervision of Mr Stephen Black.
